Connecting Guide
Before you connect you should review the University of Georgia
Policies on Use of Computers. Please also make sure your computer is secure and free of viruses
before connecting to the network. Computers that are not secure are almost guaranteed to get a virus
or spyware infection. Please review our Security Section for more information.
The following guide is an abbreviated version of our printed connection guide provided to each student in their move-in packet. This guide is also available in PDF Format, which you will need Acrobat Reader to open. We have tried to make connecting to the network at UGA as easy as possible. Almost all new computers are ready to connect to the network out of the box. There are just a few things that can be done before even arriving at UGA that you might need to fix.
