Virus and Spyware Removal

If you cannot get online then skip to the next step. HouseCall is an online virus scanner from Trend Micro which can run in Safe Mode. F-Secure and other scanners cannot run in Safe Mode however some viruses can only be removed in safe mode.

1. In Internet Explorer, go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com and click on Scan Now. It's Free!. If you have the latest version of Internet Explorer you may see a blue bar appear at the top of your screen stating This site might require the following Active-X control..." Make sure to click on this and choose Install ActiveX Control. If this does not appear you may have a Security Warning window appear, at which you should click Yes.
2. After you choose to install HouseCall the Active Update window will appear and will need to complete before you can continue. Next click on the check box next to My Computer as well as the box next to Auto Clean and then click on Scan.
